This won’t take long, because it doesn’t take much to explain.
I’ve seen it and experienced it time and time again. A simple gesture: a brief smile, a wave, a bright hello, a short explanation, a moment to speak, a hug, a heartfelt thank you – saying someone’s name, (the sweetest sound they have ever heard), anything that seems on the surface perhaps too small to make a difference, usually has the greatest impact for someone you meet, or already know, and in turn your own existence.
It’s all because you decided to take a moment to do something different, unique, maybe even out of your comfort zone to affect life for someone else. Everyone wants to feel appreciated, that they matter and the tiniest of gestures can make someone’s day.
A little love goes a long way. A gesture you make in a single moment can last a lifetime in how you are perceived and how you project yourself into the world.
It’s all possible because in the moment you took a moment to take action directed toward someone else – to affect a change which can come from only one place, your heart.
In less than 250 words, (perhaps in a two-minute blog), you could make someone stop and think about what they might do today to make a gesture which sets off a chain of events that can ultimately change the world.
It all begins somewhere, someday, why not today?
Until next time thanks for taking the time,
Mark
